We are holding our third National Croquet Day Club Croquet event and picnic.
Karen and Chris Weihs have volunteered to host the event, but they need some helpers.
Please contact Karen if you can help set up or break down.
The theme of the party will be the Mad Hatter. We start the games at 10AM so please come around 9:30 AM to help get organized.
At noon, we stop for lunch. Karen and Chris have organized a Mad Hatter Cuban style lunch, $15 per person. Lunch includes Belkis Cuban sandwich, Savory Black Bean and Roasted Corn, Tropical Fruit Medley, Mad Hatter Hibiscus Brewed Iced Tea and Key Lime Pie for Dessert. Wear your best Hat/Costume for prizes. The winner of most hoops scored and least hoops scored at the 10 AM GC game will be awarded a mad hatter prize.
On the National level, there are also prizes. The top ten photos of themed events will receive a “very nice” certificate, publicity in the Croquet News, and on the USCA website. They will be selected by players and committee members, so please assign the photography duties to a creative individual!
The award for the Club with the most Croquet Now app games logged over the week of “Croquet Day”, June 3 to June 11, will win a visit from a USCA certified instructor, paid for by the USCA.
The USCA has launched a new program called CroquetNow on its website. Please login and check it out. This program allows you to record your game scores. The club which has the most games logged in during Croquet Week (June 3-10) wins an additional prize.
