Improve and Have Fun by Competing

A great place to learn the game, Sarasota County Croquet Club is just as good for competing and getting better.

All levels learn and compete here. Our membership includes both rank beginners and nationally ranked men and women, including Jackie Jones, who love the day-to-day competition.  

In recent years, the club’s tournament profile has enlarged, as golf croquet (GC) and Association-laws croquet (AC) tournaments have been added to US Rules (6-wicket) tournaments. 

In the spring of 2019, many of the top players in North America came to Venice to play in the US national AC championship. American Stephen Morgan won both national singles and national doubles, partnering with Sherif Abdelwahab.

On April 11–17, 2021, the AC Nationals return, and once again most of the best players in the USA will be in Venice to compete.
